When it comes to media monitoring, National Audiovisual Council relies on two monitoring teams: the Bucharest based team which is in charge with the monitoring of the main national coverage radio and TV broadcasters and the team of inspectors that covers the rest of the country, each being responsible for watching the broadcasters that are active in his/her area.
But all of this would not be possible without a powerful digital system that can record and store the programmes transmitted by 20 TV and 10 radio stations and which allow immediate access to any data that each of the 25-strong Bucharest monitoring team may require.
Nevertheless, no matter how careful and well trained a team may be, it cannot identify every infringement of the Audiovisual Law that may appear on the radio or TV, therefore we are glad to receive any help we can get from you. If you see something you consider inappropriate or offensive, please do not hesitate to contact one of the following people: Dan Liciu, Head of the TV Monitoring Service, or Bogdan Avram, Head of the Radio Monitoring Service. Each complaint that we receive from you is promptly analysed and presented to the Council members in order to decide what shall be done further. Whatever decision the Council may take, we will let you know.
In order to facilitate better communication with the public in this regard, we have recently created an online complaint form which you can access here
If you would like to contact one of our inspectors based outside Bucharest, here you will find the complete contact list.
